About Ernie

 Biographical Information
Ernie was born in Brownsville, TX on September 6, 1949. His family then moved to Kountze, TX in 1956.  He graduated from Kountze High School in 1968.  After graduation he spent one semester at East Texas Baptist College and then entered the United States Air Force.  Ernie went to Viet Nam in 1971 and received an honorable discharge in 1975.

In 1973 Ernie married Gwen Williford. In 1976 and 1980, respectively, they were blessed by the births of their sons Pat and Cody.

At age 12 Ernie attended R.A. camp and during the decision night he went down with the rest of the boys and answered all the questions. They filled out the card and he was patted on the head and told that he was saved. Then In 1979, while working in the oil field, God caused him to look at his life. It was then that he realized that there had been no change in his life.  He asked God to save him and change his life into the life that would bring honor and glory to Him.

In 1980 God gave Ernie his first job serving Him as a part-time minister of music in a local church where two years later he felt the Lord called him into full-time service.  In 1984 God directed he and his family to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where in 1988 he received a degree in Church Music.  During this time Ernie was called to his first fulltime church as minister of music and youth. While in Seminary, the Lord allowed Ernie to participate in several evangelistic ministry events where he began to feel God's call into evangelism.
After almost eleven years on staff in several churches, the Lord opened the door for Ernie to enter into a fulltime evangelistic ministry. This ministry is dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.  Ministering to and lifting up the church, the church staff and singing the praise and glory of our Lord and Savior, the Son of the Living God, Jesus the Christ.
